Post-sales support content is becoming a bigger influencer in purchasing decisions and customer loyalty across many industries and companies, so providing technical instructions, specifications and software in native languages is an important part of delivering the information and functionality our customers need once our relationships is established.

Having started my career at Micro Motion as a Technical Writer, I was able to see the documents that I created translated into many languages, from Chinese to Portuguese to Swedish, and more. From that point, I was hooked on languages. Over the years, we’ve implemented a lot of changes in our content strategy. We’ve partnered with our in-country experts and translation partners to make sure our content is localized, consistent and of the highest quality. I’ve been managing translations for over 12 years now, and I remain passionate about providing our global customers with support.

Join me in an online panel about technical communication teams, content creation and localization, and communication tools on Tuesday, November 25, from 12-1 p.m. MST. Maxwell Hoffmann, Technical Communications Evangelist at Adobe Systems, Inc, will co-host the event. Discussion will include:

  • Evolve or perish: How to build and manage a nimble technical communications department
  • The intersection of content creation and localization
  • Relevant and useful tools

Of course, there will be a Q&A session, so come ready with the translation challenges you need addressed. Make sure to register here. For those of you who will be busy with the holidays, you can also listen to the webinar a few days after it’s posted here. I hope you can join us!
